Often abstract and experimental in vocal style, coupled with a clear and direct lyrical content makes Peanut a force to be reckoned with. Expect no punches to be pulled when this formidable rapper takes the mic.

Nicky Lockett

Nicky aka MC Tunes began his musical career in the 80s DJing and MCing in Manchester with the legendary Juice Box soundsystem. Teaming up with local boys 808 state to produce the pioneering Hip Hop dance sound. He later brought the Dust Junkys to an unsuspecting audience, showing true versatility and an ear for a good tune no matter what the genre. Now full time co-producer for the Ugly and still apearing on tracks, this real artist lives and breathes the music he loves. Expect passion, grit and determination.

Paul Billington

The Ugly's studio magician Paul has worked in studios for nearly 18 yrs and has worked with many signed and unsigned artists. Cutting his teeth with the highly aclaimed Development Corporation in Manchester. A founding member of The Dust Junkys with Nicky releasing material with Polydor. Paul is the co-producer, programmer, and engineer that provides the punch behind The Ugly Sound.

Cas Maksen

The much abused and maligned glue that holds this thing together. Got a problem? Call Cas! Cas has owned a studio in Manchester for 5 years and fought off the many problems that come with such a venture. A programmer, writer and film maker for The Ugly if anyone can Cas can! (or not depends how busy he is!)
